TPTS Withdraws from NWA’s Convention 5
The Philippine Tolkien Society has withdrawn its participation from the New Worlds Alliance’s 5th Philippine Scifi and Fantasy Convention, slated for October 27 at the Glorietta Activity Center, Glorietta Mall, Makati City. As you may know, Glorietta was the site of a *blast last Friday, October 19. TPTS officers feel it prudent to withdraw participation in favor of the safety and security of our members and would-be guests. We also feel that it’s inappropriate to hold such an activity at the place of the blast so soon after the terrible event. Thank you. *edited from bombing to blast, as investigators are still deliberating about the real cause of the explosion that killed and injured many people. Click here for reports.

Ricardo Sunico The Philippine Tolkien Society joins the rest of the New Worlds Alliance in mourning the passing of Ricky Sunico, our Ringbearer. We also join them in celebrating his life and the many friendships he has formed among all of us.
