John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was the man behind the well-loved fantasy world of Middle-earth, in which many tales were set.

These tales can be found in the fantasy masterpieces The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion, and in the many volumes of The History of Middle-Earth.

J.R.R. Tolkien also wrote many wonderful stories that were not set within his mythology of Middle-earth such as Farmer Giles of Ham, Smith of Wootton Major, and Roverandom.
